The Premise Health Care Center is your first stop for a diagnosis, acute sickness, prescription refill, annual physical, immunization, or lab work. The center is equipped to handle a variety of personal medical needs including:
- Sick visits including cold, cough, flu
- Stomach ache, earache, urinary tract infections
- Lab draws – including outside provider orders
- Strep and flu tests
- Flu shots, immunizations
- Administration of allergy injections from outside provider orders
- Annual physicals
- School, sport and camp physicals

All providers are board certified. And our integrated, team approach with pharmacy services ensures better clinical outcomes.
Ruth Stedwell, MSN, FNP
Nurse Practitioner and Health Center Manager
Ruth has been the Health Center Manager and Nurse Practitioner of the Premise Health Care Center, operated by Premise Health (formerly Take Care Health) since May 2011. Immediately prior to her current position, Mrs. Stedwell managed a Take Care medical clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona for three years. Before her employment with Take Care Health she cared for patients in primary care settings in Chandler and Phoenix, Arizona for over 10 years. Prior to her entry into advanced practice nursing Ruth had 12 years experience as a Register Nurse in Labor & Delivery, post-partum and high-risk perinatal care. Mrs. Stedwell received her Bachelor of Nursing from Marymount College in Salina, KS and a Master of Nursing from Arizona State University. She is certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners as a family nurse practitioner and is a licensed Registered Nurse by the State of Arizona.
Deana McCabe graduated from College America with her Associates Degree in Occupational Science in the Medical Specialties Program. Deana has been with Premise Health since June of 2016 at our Maricopa Health Center location. Prior to working at Premise Health she worked at a primary care clinic and a pediatric clinic. Deana is responsible for blood draws and appointment scheduling. Deana also gives our pediatric patients their immunizations because of her experience in pediatrics.
